Course Description Residential realtors deal with the emotion associated with the sale of a home. Emotion that is piqued by surprises and by unspoken, and often times, unrealistic expectations. The purpose of this course is to talk about surprises and expectations. The format is essentially one of discussion. It will involve “war stories”. It will involve anticipation of market trends and conditions. This course is designed to be a dialogue between all present. It will be a problem solving session and a discussion of anticipated issues. It will be fun and educational. These materials are not intended to be exhaustive, but rather a beginning upon which each class will expand and “personalize”.
Surprises and Expectations #1 Discussion topics include: The Offer, Negotiations, Option Period and Inspection Results.
Surprises and Expectations #2 Discussion topics include: Buyer’s Loan Problems, Seller’s Loan Problems, Title Defects, Survey Problems, Buyer Changes Mind and Acts of God.
