City of Austin The Austin Police Department’s online resource includes the APD Crime Viewer, an interactive mapping program with multiple search options that works best on Microsoft® browsers, such as Internet Explorer. There is also a Traffic Viewer map, with incident listings udpated every few minutes.
CityProtect® CityProtect maps crime data from participating public safety agencies with crime details varying based on the provider. Sex offender data is pulled from a national feed, updated weekly, and is available for all cities. In Central Texas, participating agencies include Austin and Georgetown police departments.
SpotCrime® SpotCrime collects data from police departments, news reports and user-generated content, to plot their crime map. They also provide crime alerts for which can be received on a variety of social media platforms. Information for all cities across the nation is available.
